Nigeria

One naira on-ramp under the SEC sandbox — then the book.

Quidax and Busha were first into the SEC ARIP. Luno is in the sandbox too. Binance P2P is still how a lot of naira finds USDT — we show it, with the 2024 hangover attached.

Same naira amount, same frequency, same rail — then the all-in drag. First-buy mode uses the retail button when a platform has one.

No black boxes

How we pick — and how we get paid

01

Country first

If it doesn’t serve Nigeria, it doesn’t appear. No global leftovers.

02

True cost, not the headline

Bank or card + retail button or taker fee, in local currency.

03

Trust and ease still count

A cheaper book loses to a safer, simpler app when you said this is your first buy.

04

Commissions can’t buy the rank

Affiliate links, when we add them, never change the score. A failed quality gate just turns the link off.

Questions for Nigeria

Quidax or Binance?

Quidax is the supervised local first buy. Binance is P2P liquidity, not a CBN-blessed naira deposit. After 2024, treat Binance as optional, not default.

Is Yellow Card on the list?

Yellow Card is now more infrastructure / B2B than a retail book, even after ARIP admission. We score retail exchanges.

Naira deposits?

Local apps take bank transfer. Global books are P2P. Your bank can delay or reverse a crypto-tagged payment.

An Approval-in-Principle is not a final VASP licence. CBN can still friction bank rails. P2P has counterparty risk we do not price.
